Katherine & Jordan | Flinders St Baptist Church

Katherine & Jordan grew up together, both practicing Baptists. Meeting this gorgeous couple, it was clear to see they have refined taste for antiques and quality that they wanted to be captured in the style of their wedding photography.

It was a rainy, windy autumn day, but we still managed to get some garden and historic-building photos.

During the speeches, Jordan’s best man read 2 Samuel 22:31 “As for God, His way is perfect:  The Lord’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in Him.”

Jordan has graduated from University as a Paramedic and has recently gained employment in New Zealand. They’re moving this September & will be missed by many.

Katherine & Jordan, thank you for choosing us for your Wedding Photography, Hair & Makeup. We wish you every happiness as you keep close to the truth you hold in your hearts. Allen & Melissa xo

Huge shout out to our amazing and awesome photographers and hair/make-up artist from Studio Shubin. Allen and Melissa went above and beyond to make sure we had the best day. Melissa was amazing at our hair and make-up and we had compliments all day about how amazing we looked. Allen and Melissa took the most amazing photos and we are just trilled beyond words – Katherine Carswell

Katherine spent the night before her wedding with her closest friends and bridesmaids at a Airbnb property in Clarence Park. It was very special her Mum and sister were over from QLD and the morning was spent taking turns with hair and makeup, then Katherine’s Mum helped her with her jewellery.

Jordan and the boys got ready at home. Braving the wild weather to get the bridal ribbon on the vehicles, we also took photos later that day at The Barker Gardens.

Married at the Heritage-listed Flinders St Baptist Church by their local Minister, complete with order-of-service booklets, hymns, and one of their dearest friends playing the piano. Katherine walked down the isle by herself and they lit a unity candle to symbioses them becoming one.

Katherine had always wanted to be photographed in her wedding dress in the city and Allen knew he could take some great photos along the walk from the church to Adelaide Arcade. So, Jordan took an umbrella, soaking up some time just-the-two of them (or 3 with Allen), the experience, and attention along the way.
They stopped at a fresh fruit & vegetable market; the first time EVER at a market stall like this.
When we saw the weather forecast, we contacted Adelaide Arcade for permission to photograph our bridal party there, which is where we met up for bridal party photos.
We then stopped at The Barker Gardens in Prospect, on our way to the reception.

The reception was held at Northside Baptist Church, where they had their engagement party. Their best-man had draped linen and fairy-lights from the ceiling.
The evening was opened with prayer, full of complete-joy, and love.
